The founders of the collection are bibliophile Vitalijus Ragevičius (1941–2013) and his wife Aldona Ragevičienė, folklore collector, researcher, founder(1968)  and leader (until 1972) of the Vilnius University folklore band “Ratilio”.

The collection was received from Aldona Ragevičienė in 2014.

The founder of the collection is Jonas Reitelaitis (1884–1966), Roman Catholic priest, historian, ethnographer, founder of the town of Krikštonys, stateman and civic activist, socio-political writer.

The collection was acquired in 1946–1960 from the founder in Krikštonys.

The founders of the collection are Anicetas Renjė (Anicety Renjer, Reniger, Regnier, Renjé, 1804–1877), physician and Vilnius civic activist; Janas and Liudvikas Renjė (Jan and Ludwik Renjer), owners of the Kamionka estate in  Vilnius County in the 19th century.

The collection was received in 1940 from the then State Wroblewski Library (the present-day Wroblewski Library of the Lithuanian Academy of Sciences).

The founder of the collection is Liudvikas Rėza (Ludwig Jedemin Rhesa, 1766–1841), literary scholar, folklorist, cultural activist, professor at Königsberg University (now Immanuel Kant Baltic Federal University), researcher of Lithuanian literature, collector of Lithuanian songs, the first translator and publisher of “The Seasons” by Kristijonas Donelaitis.

The collection was acquired in 1947 from Professor Povilas Pakarklis in Vilnius.

The founder of the collection is Albinas Rimka (1886–1944), economist and member of the Academy of Sciences of the Lithuanian SSR.

The collection was acquired in 1947 from the Institute of Lithuanian Language and Literature of the Academy of Sciences of the Lithuanian SSR (now the Institute of Lithuanian Literature and Folklore), which received it from the family of Albinas Rimka.

The founders of the collection are the following Römers (Riomeriai, from the end of the second decade of the 20th century: Romeriai, Römeriai): Steponas Jurgis (Stefan Jerzy, 1687–1773), Trakai Standard-bearer; his son Steponas Dominykas (Stefan Dominik,  1720 or1721–1793), Chamberlain of the Trakai Voivodeship;  Steponas Mykolas (Michał Stefan, 1816–1846), Head of Nobility of Trakai County; Mykolas Juozapas (Michał Józef, 1778–1853), judge at the Trakai County Land Court, chairman of the Provisional Civil Department of the Supreme Court of Vilnius Province and Legal Educational Comission  of Vilnius University,  Head of Nobility of Trakai and Vilnius Counties and Vilnius Province, Vilnius burgomaster,  one of the founders of the Vilnius Charity Society,  member of the “Zealous Lithuanian” Masonic lodge, was interned in Warsaw and St. Petersburg prisons and  exiled to Voronezh; Antanas (Antoni, 1818–1855), Deputy Head of Nobility of Trakai County Trakų; Mykolas Juozapas’ son Severinas (Seweryn, 1820– 1890), amateur artist, participant in the 1863 uprising; Mykolas Juozapas’ son and Severinas’ brother, Edvardas Jonas (Edward Jan, 1806–1878), artist; Edvardas Jonas’ brother Edvardas Matas (Edward Mateusz, 1848-1900), artist; Edvardas Jonas’ another son and Edvardas Matas’ brother,  Alfredas (Alfred, 1832–1897), artist; Severinas’ son Kazimieras (Kazimierz, 1848–1921), socio-political writer; Mykolas Pijus (Michał Pius, 1880–1945), Doctor of Law, rector of Vytautas Magnus University in 1933– 1939.

The founder of the collection is Dionizas Rudzinskas (1866–1954), agriculturist breeder, pioneer of scientific plant breeding and seed production in Russia and Lithuania.

The collection was acquired in 1966 and 1983 m. from the founder’s daughter, Janina Rudzinskaitė-Dautartienė.

The founder of the collection is Zenonas Rokus Rudzikas (1940–2011), physicist, Habilitated Doctor of Physical Sciences, professor, president of the Lithuanian Academy of Sciences (2003–2009).

The collection was received from the founder’s spouse, Marija Rudzikienė, in 2011.

The founder of the collection is Viktoras Ruokis (1885–1971), soil reesearcher, professor, corresponding member of the Academy of Sciences of the Lithuanian SSR.

The documents were received from Algirdas Juozas Motuzas, Head of the Department of Soil Science and Agrochemistry of the Lithuanian Academy of Agriculture, in 2005.
