VPN and Wi-FI

Access to the Library’s VPN and Wi-Fi networks is available to all readers registered on the Library’s website.

The Library’s VPN service provides the readers with remote access to the Library’s computer network.  It is particularly useful for accessing the Library’s subscription databases from home and other off-site locations.

How to connect

We do not recommend using VPN on-site in the Library, as it wastes computer resources and overwhelms the network, while not giving any benefits to the user.

The Library’s Wi-Fi is a wireless network that enables the readers to connect to the Internet and access the subscription databases from their personal computers or mobile devices on-site in the Library.

How to connect

WWLAS Wi-Fi has three user networks:

  • MABskaitytojams – for readers over 18 years of age
  • MABjaunimas – for readers under 18 years of age
  • MABinfo – for all readers (no user ID or password is necessary)

eduroam (Education Roaming) is an international wireless network service for the academic and research community. Only staff members of the Library and eduroam users from other institutions can use eduroam on the premises of the Library.
