Areas of Activity
The Wroblewski Library of the Lithuanian Academy of Sciences is a member of the Lithuanian Academic Libraries Consortium (eLABa Consortium).
The Library’s main areas of activity are:
- collecting, processing, organizing, preserving, digitizing, lending, disseminating and bibliographically describing documents;
- organizing cultural and educational programs;
- ensuring access to public information resources, regardless of the method of delivery, format, or medium, and irrespective of the political or ideological orientation of the authors or the recorded information;
- ensuring equal rights for natural and legal persons to use, in accordance with applicable legislation, free services and information necessary for public education, socio-cultural education, scholarly research, and personal development;
- providing library users with information services and public Internet access;
- conducting scholarly research;
- publishing activities.
