F6-31. Donation by Darata, alias Sonka, and her son Duke Talimantas of Svir to the Franciscan Monastery in Vilnius


Vilnius, 1449 09 28
Darata, alias Sonka, and her son Duke Talimantas of Svir (Thalymunth du[x] de Swyr) donate a tithe from the village of Miadzel to the Franciscan Monastery in Vilnius.
The attached black wax seal of Duke Talimantas of Svir in a protective bowl of rougher wax, affixed with a parchment strip. Two horizontal cuts for the strip are made in the parchment. Diameter 27 mm.
Latin; 1 f.; 24x35,5+6,5 cm; Text: 9,5x29,5 cm; 13 rows. The parchment has several holes gnawed by mice.   
The label and the seal of the Library of the Lithuanian Academy of Sciences are on the reverse of the parchment.
