Continuously supplemented collections compiled at the Manuscripts department

F25. 351 items from 1496–1957: originals and transcripts.  In Latin, Ruthenian, Russian, Polish, Lithuanian, Czech, and German.  Described in the Manuscripts Department’s card catalogue and is also available in the electronic Manuscripts  Catalogue.

The collection was compiled at the Manuscripts Department of the Library of the Academy of Sciences of the Lithuanian SSR in 1945 and is continuously supplemented by single acquisitions.

F26. 2043 items from 1946–1991: manuscripts, typescripts, photographs, technical drawings. In Lithuanian and Russian. Described in the Manuscripts Department’s card catalogue and is also available in the electronic Manuscripts  Catalogue.

The collection was compiled in 1951 in accordance with the resolutions of the Presidium of the Academy of Sciences of the Lithuanian SSR of June 25, 1946; November 19, 1950; and June 30 – July 2, 1952. It is continuously supplemented by new items.

F27. 158 items from 1323–1972: photographs and microfilms of manuscripts, CD. In Lithuanian, Polish, Ruthenian, and Russian. Described in the Manuscripts Department’s card catalogue.

The collection was compiled in 1949 from photographs of manuscripts, whose originals were kept in other libraries of the former Soviet Union and other countries. It is continuously supplemented by new items.

F28. 6 items: manuscripts from the 19th–20th century. In Polish, Lithuanian, Russian, and Latin. Described in the Manuscripts Department’s card catalogue; part of the collection is also available through the digital repository and described in the electronic Manuscripts  Catalogue .

The card indices were compiled by Antoni Łazarowicz (1817–1905), Polish writer and researcher of the Rasos Cemetery in Vilnius; Wacław Wejtko (1873–1939), Vilnius archivist and collector of antiquities; Józef Bieliński (1848–1926), physician, cultural historian, and the author of the monograph entitled  “Uniwersytet Wileński”(Vilnius University).

The collection was acquired in 1940 from the State Wroblewski Library (the present-day Wroblewski Library of the Lithuanian Academy of Sciences).

The collection was compiled at the Manuscripts Department of the Library of the Academy of Sciences of the Lithuanian SSR in 1945 and is continuously supplemented by single acquisitions.

F 30. 245 items from 1598–1949: sheet music and other manuscripts (original and transcripts).  In Lithuanian, Latvian, Polish, French, Italian, and English.  Described in the Manuscripts Department’s card catalogue. Some of the items are available in the digital depository of musical manuscripts, Musicalia.

The collection was compiled at the Manuscripts Department of the Library of the Academy of Sciences of the Lithuanian SSR (now the Wroblewski Library of the Lithuanian Academy of Sciences) in 1945-1955 from individual musical manuscripts. It is continuously supplemented by single acquisitions.
